The\u00a0Executive Council of the World Federation of Associations of Pediatric Surgeons<\/a>\u00a0announced 7th April as World Pediatric Surgery Day to create awareness for Pediatric Surgery and children requiring surgical treatment.<\/p>\n

It was on 7th April 2001 that the landmark\u00a0Kyoto Declaration of Pediatric Surgery<\/a>\u00a0was written that established the\u00a0mission of the World Federation of Associations of Pediatric Surgeons to focus on the development and education of surgeons serving children, in all parts of the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This decision was announced in January 2023. This year, 2024, will be the Inaugural WPS Day.<\/p>\n

We request you to celebrate the WPS day in your hospital, city, country and make it a truly global event.<\/p>\n

The theme for 2024 is\u00a0What is Pediatric Surgery? & Who is a Pediatric Surgeon?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
