Abstracts Editing and Submission Instructions

Guidelines to Authors

Given that abstracts will be included in the Abstracts CD as submitted, the authors are strongly encouraged to follow the following instructions. In case of non-compliance with the editorial guidelines, the paper will be returned for correction with the risk of not being accepted due to the expiry of the deadline.

 

  1. Summary editing instructions

      1. The text should not exceed 300 words – Tahoma font and a character size of 10 cpi is recommended – there should be full justification.
      2. The title of the paper should be in capital letters.
      3. The names of the authors should be in the nominal, with lower case characters. First name should be given in full, followed by the last name, eg: Michael Papadopoulos.
      4. The name of the presenting author should be written in bold, e.g. Maria Dimopoulou.
      5. The author’s center of origin, as well as the city, should be filled in the abstract, under the names of the authors, with lower case letters. e.g.: Michael Papadopoulos 1 , Maria Dimopoulou2 , Panagiotis Alexandrou1

      6. The workplace of the authors should not be mentioned in the title or in the text of the abstract.
      7. A single space should be interposed between the title, the authors names, the workplace of the authors, and the text of the summary.
      8. The abstract should be structured as follows:
        • Introduction
        • Purpose
        • Material
        • Methods
        • Results
        • Conclusions
          Bold letters should only be used for the titles above.
      9. Case reports will be included in a special category in the Summaries SD. The summary of these reports will be structured as follows:
        • Introduction
        • Material
        • Discussion
        • Conclusions
          Bold letters should only be used for the titles above.
      10. The text may contain well-established abbreviations, tables, diagrams and photographs, provided that they do not go further than the text alignment margins and the text does not exceed 300 words altogether. One may use the Word Count command in Microsoft Office Word from the Tools Menu for assistance in counting words (max. 300).
      11. It is necessary that the subject category to which the paper belongs and the desired way of presentation is stated in the foreseen area of ​​the summary form.
      12. Any changes, additions or corrections, following submission of the summary, will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances, provided that they are sent in written form exclusively by the mail correspondent.
      13. Abstracts with phrases such as “the results will be discussed” or “the data will be presented”, etc. will not be accepted.

     

  2. Abstracts Submission Guidelines

Summaries can be submitted exclusively in electronic form by 15 July 2017 10 August 2017 at the latest, via the official website of the conference.

To submit your abstract, fill in the online abstract submission form by clicking HERE, and attach the summary file exclusively in Microsoft Word format (other file formats such as pdf, etc., will not be accepted).

PRESENTATION

The modes of presentation are as follows:

  1. Oral Presentation
  2. Poster

It is noted that the final mode of presentation of the paper to be accepted will be determined by the Scientific Committee evaluating the abstracts.

 

GENERAL REMARKS

      1. Abstracts that will be submitted after the submission deadline (15 July 10 August 2017) will not be accepted.
      2. Registration at the Congress of at least one author per paper (preferably the presenting author) is a prerequisite for accepting a paper as oral presentation or poster at the Congress (and for its publication on the Abstracts CD). If an author presents more than one paper, there should be a registration from another author of the group, so that there is a match of one (1) registration per paper. The payment must be completed within three (3) days from the information of the correspondent author for acceptance of the paper, otherwise the abstract will not be included in the Final Program of the Congress.
      3. The conference organizer will electronically send an acknowledgment of receipt to the correspondent author within two (2) business days of receipt of the summary. If a confirmation is not received within the above-mentioned deadline, please contact Zita Congress conference organizer.
      4. The results of the assessment of abstracts will be sent to the corresponding authors by 10 September 2017 at the latest.

Summaries sent by fax will NOT be accepted.
